About me, Professionally

What I Do (a non-exhaustive brain dump):

  • Large Language Model + RAG and Vector Database with semantic searches. Built and train foundation models and implement within chatbots and search engine projects.
  • Aritificial Intelligence, back to back, from models to application, in the brach of natural language processing, computer vision, and statistical applications.
  • Machine Learning - full pipeline, data to feature engineering, modeling, evaluating and model implementation. Both classical and advanced models.
  • Data Engieering I break apart monolithic datasets and put them back together as scalable, queryable, beautiful things. Set up automated jobs with Airflow and Google Cloud implementations.
  • IT System Engineering - I’ve built and maintained backup systems, RAID arrays, scalable NAS setups, and quiet cron jobs that keep labs running while everyone sleeps. When I say I “watch the servers,” I mean I actually watch the servers.

I am researching about Microorganisms genomics using AI applications

Particularly using large language models (LLMs) for various applications such as integrated in one of my porject for species classification. My research integrates bioinformatics, machine learning, and data science.

One of the topic being planktons monitoring with an AI-powered analysis pipeline, to identify taxonomy and analyze plankton trends and their influence on the marine ecosystem along with LLMs technologies (and looks kinda cool doing it).

Common Misconceptions about my field of work

  • Yes, I am in tech.
  • Yes, I do programming.
  • No, I don’t build websites for a living or do frontnd (this one is duct-taped together, HTML-wise)
  • However, I am mainly in the field of Data Science and Data Engineering. Even though I am doing data, I still able to do backend, which includes making API callables and building backend data pipeline.

About me, Personally

I am a huge nerd, I’m obsessive about the right things, and chasing systems that make life just a bit more elegant.

I am a Productivity Nerd

I like to have my life figured out, of sort, in a way or another. I like to have a Life dashboard, a Research dashboard, a Studies dashboard, a Finance dashboard, a Goals dashboard, a Planning dashboard, an Archive dashboard, and a Dashboard of my all dashboards. Osidian is supposed to be my second brain (and to be honest withthe current state of things, probably my first haha. I believe a well-structured folder helps with anxiety, and that chaos, when tagged properly, is just potential energy.

I like to have my notes unsorted, my files sorted, and my system simple!

I am a Coffee Nerd

I love brewing a nice cup or two or twelves everyday, it’s called self-care, before I go to bed, I am looking forward to brew my next cup haha. I really enjoy lighter roast, more complex coffees with interesting characters. I actively looking for new interesting cafes and roasters to try, Café-hopping is my favorite form of urban exploration. I also just got a new Aeropress recently, and have been trying to perfect my cold pressed methods with it, so far so good! I also have coffee tasting dashboard to keep track of ALL of my brews, so I can track what I like and what I don’t.

I am a Music Nerd

I’ve been playing guitar (and cello) for over a decade. Fingerstyle covers? Yes. Originals? Sometimes. Rage-quitting mid-transcription? Frequently. If we jam together and you suggest a 4/4, I’ll still play—but I’ll sneak in a 7/8 bar somewhere, you know, as a treat. This keeps me sane and curious.

More about me

  • I am an optimist
  • I am a minimalist. Functional Minimalist. Every byte must justify its place.
  • I single-tasker, One brain, one lane.
  • I am a Spontaneous Person - Even though I like to have plans on my fancy dashboard, I also like to be randomly called on a Saturday morning to go on a road trip to another city.
  • I use light-mode exclusively, OS, editors, note takings, Dark modes? No thanks (astigmatism says hi)

Quick Facts

  • Favorite editor: VSCode (light mode, obviously!!)
  • Coffee style: Mugen + Switch, light roast only
  • Weekend plans: café hopping + spontaneous train trips

If you’ve read this far, congratulations. You’re either extremely curious or just vibing. Either way: hello.

My Philosophy

Build systems that make sense.
Things should be simple and understandable.

Structure over shortcuts.
Consistency over cleverness.

Organize everything.
Then break the system.
Then reorganize it better.

Systems outgrow themselves.
So rebuild — with new context and fewer assumptions.

I take my work seriously, but not myself.

I’m designing my system to grow deliberately and leaves room for good detours.
