Talks
A record of past talks research presentations.
2026
Poster presentation on a provenance-preserving framework for integrating heterogeneous ecosystem monitoring data with large language models, presented as the follow-up to last year's Earth, Sea and Sky workshop record.
In this talk, I have discussed the challenges of data integration and platform unification in marine bioinformatics, with a focus on the ANEMONE project. I have highlighted the importance of integrating diverse datasets and unifying platforms to enhance our understanding of marine ecosystems and improve conservation efforts.
2025
Oral presentation of my work on "Automated Taxonomic Identification of Marine Plankton Using a Large-Language-Model and Retrieval-Augmented-Generation Framework." With my presentation, I received IMBC organization awards for other outstanding oral presentations.
Poster presentation on my Semantic Plankton project, in the event organized by Tohoku University and GP-EES, focusing on the use of multimodal large language models (LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques for automated analysis of ocean microorganisms.
WPI-AIMEC workshop at Hawaii University
Gave a talk on applications of Multimodal Large Language Models (LLMs) in marine ecosystem research, main example is from my Semantic Plankton project. Check out the slides for more details on the implementations.
